MISSION

EthicalCoach bridges the for-profit and nonprofit worlds, bringing executive coaching, previously only available to corporate leaders, to charities and nonprofit organizations addressing the greatest humanitarian and environmental challenges of our time. By applying the techniques and tools of coaching to philanthropic efforts, EthicalCoach is creating a platform to change lives.

VISION

What if the highest level of executive coaching was accessible to organizations addressing the greatest global challenges of our time? Given executive coaches excel in enabling commercial endeavors to become stronger, more resilient, and of course, more successful, imagine the possibilities if these same coaches behind the success of the top Fortune 500 companies began working with organizations dedicated to making the world a better place for all of us?

EthicalCoach was born when we asked ourselves “how can we mobilize the pool of incredible expertise in coaching to stimulate a global positive impact”? How can coaching help end extreme poverty, promote equality and protect the planet? Through the leadership of WBECS and the formation of EthicalCoach, a new vision is in place.

We see an increasingly interconnected world where outstanding nonprofit leaders, with the support of executive coaches, are being successful in tackling humanitarian and environmental challenges, particularly those that disproportionately affect the most vulnerable among us, enabling their organizations to serve an additional 64 million children in need over the next ten years.

VALUES

EthicalCoach is committed to creating a positive impact in the world. We are driven by a set of shared values that guide our programs, relationships and overall approach – and which will serve as our foundation as we evolve and grow.

RESPECT

~ a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements~

‘For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live
in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.’
Nelson Mandela

EthicalCoach is founded in respect. We recognize the value in people and partnerships. From our coaches to the children we seek to support, our motivation begins with genuine respect. Considering our work is international, respect helps us position ourselves so that we can use each and every opportunity to value one another and grow together.

PASSION

~ a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something ~

“Rest in reason; move in passion.”
Khalil Gibran

The EthicalCoach family shares a common internal flame, a spark of passion that drives us to co-create a positive impact in the world. This passion pushes us to strive to the very reaches of possibilities and cultivate the world we all want to live in. This passion drives us to reach our fullest potential, as individuals and as a team.

IMAGINATION

~ the ability of the mind to be creative and resourceful and form new ideas and concepts of things that are not present ~

“You can’t solve a problem on the same level that it was created.
You have to rise above it to the next level.”
Albert Einstein

The world we want is not always the world we are living in. The EthicalCoach community is courageous in imagining new approaches, new ideas to advance our vision and is innovative in the way it comes together, often with new and different partners and better solutions, to meet new and/or existing requirements. We believe that our very best today is nothing compared to our very best tomorrow.

INCLUSION

~ the act of learning to live together, incorporating diversity and building community ~

“Diversity: the art of thinking independently together.”
Malcolm Forbes

We aim to cultivate and curate a meaningful community that is engaged, committed to learning and to working with others. Since the very first seed for EthicalCoach was sown, we have maintained an openness, welcoming any and all people who want to be part of this movement. We understand that our scope of possibilities is beyond what one mind can conceive. We have worked to establish and create community to connect, to unify and to celebrate our unique contributions.

CONNECTION

~ the connection between people and places ~

“If you listen carefully, people explain to you what it is that they need.”
Rick Rubin

Communication holds us together, weaves together our passions, and becomes the way we share information. Creating a platform to share resources and bring the expertise of coaching to nonprofit organizations requires genuine connection. As we grow, we will evolve our movement through the continued exchange of ideas, dreams, experiences and hopes.

ACCOUNTABILITY

~ the acknowledgment and assumption of responsibility for actions and decisions ~

“It is wrong and immoral to seek to escape
the consequences of one’s acts.”
Mahatma Gandhi

EthicalCoach is not satisfied to know there are global challenges that disproportionately impact many children and their families in today’s world. We are taking responsibility for our discomfort by bringing to life a vision of unity, support and mutual benefit sharing. We value the impact we can all have on one another and will measure and monitor the development of our movement and our projects from conception through to fruition. World class coaching will result in measurably improved NGO leadership effectiveness. The ultimate external evidence of success is the application of these leadership skills and abilities to enable more children to be served and supported.
