The Hunger Project was founded in 1977, in the wake of the rising debate on world hunger triggered by the first Rome World Food Conference.
The Hunger Project is a global, non-profit, strategic organization committed to the sustainable end of world hunger with a mission is to end hunger and poverty by pioneering sustainable, grassroots, women-centered strategies and advocating for their widespread adoption in countries throughout the world.
Thirteen members of The Hunger Project have been selected for six months of pro-bono leadership coaching around their most pressing organizational, team and professional challenges.
They have been matched with coaches drawn from EthicalCoach’s international network and both leaders and coaches who will participate in action research in parallel to the coaching.
Based in Mexico City, Diana is fluent in English and Spanish. Diana has 13 years coaching experience and for the past 11 years, Diana has been actively involved in the World Business and Executive Coach Summit (WBECS), where she has served as IMS Official Facilitator (Spanish and English). In 2020, Diana served as Official Summit Facilitator for IM Spanish Sessions. Diana specializes in strategic planning and human development, working with managers and executives to boost skills, and grow and develop productive teams. Prior to becoming a coach, Diana worked for more than 20 years as Executive Director in Mexican and International Holdings.
Originally from Brazil, and currently living in Cascais, Portugal, Fernando is fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French. Fernando is an International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach, with more than 5 years coaching experience. Fernando is a certified Executive Ontological Coach (Escuela Europea de Coaching, Spain), and is also certified in Systemic Team Coaching (Academy of Executive Coaching, UK), and the advanced and post-advanced levels of the 6 Team Conditions model and its Team Diagnostic Survey, Levels I, II & III (US). For the past year, Fernando provided pro-bono coaching at the International Coaching Federation Coaches for Good Initiative, and has also provided pro-bono executive and team coaching for companies in Brazil, struggling with the COVID—19 crisis. Prior to becoming a coach, Fernando had a successful career in banking in São Paulo and New York City, USA.
Based in the San Francisco Bay area of the United States, Julies is an international coach who currently coaches clients in New York, San Francisco, London, and Nairobi. Jules holds ExO Coach 2018 Q4 Virtual Certification. In 2012, Jules was finalist for the Women in Technology: Team Leader of the Year and finalist for Women in Technology: Woman of the Year. Jules specializes in business strategy & execution, unprecedented & complex projects, problem solving, ideas & innovation, thriving in unprecedented & complex environments, complex stakeholder management, strengths-based leadership, purpose & values driven leadership, media & technology.
Kerry Woodcock leads change for a world of change, by both supporting and challenging leaders, organizations and social systems to amplify the power of relationship—for its powerful relationship that creates meaningful change. Weaving together innovations from the world of change leadership, adult development and systems coaching, she coaches leaders and teams to develop their collective leadership and change leadership capability. She trains, mentors and supervises leaders to develop relationship systems intelligence principles, tools, skills and competencies. Kerry is an International Coaching Federation Professional Certified Coach (PCC), certified in Co-active Coaching and Organizational and Relationship Systems Coaching, with a doctorate in Geography and Environmental Management. Flexible and adaptable she works in a range of organizational contexts, in a variety of sectors and across cultures. She brings a natural lightness and rigour to everything she does and has been described as a BrinkLeader, StoryWeaver and LightSprite. British-born, she lives in Canada with her adventurous family and the world as her wonderland.
Since the mid 2000s, Marina has coached senior leaders, both individuals and teams, in the UK, mainland Europe and West Africa (Nigeria). Her clients have been drawn from a range of industries including: professional services, financial, utility, energy and sports as well as from the public and not-for-profit sectors. Before qualifying as an executive coach, Marina spent 15 years managing strategic and operational change in the energy and utility sectors. Given her passion for organizational change, she is keen to help leaders understand their role and influence in shifting behaviours that keep teams stuck in the same dysfunctional cycle. Encouraging team working and transparency, she coaches her client teams to build genuine collaboration and connections across the business so they collectively better serve their clients and other stakeholders. Nolitha Tsengiwe is an experienced executive coach (ACC) and registered psychologist, with over 20 years of experience in such fields as leadership development, team coaching, executive coaching, lecturing, and psychotherapy. Her varied international exposure includes periods of study in the US as well as coaching in cross-culture adaptation for Emzingo, an international social entrepreneurship organization. Nolitha’s work experience includes acting as a leadership consultant for GIZ (German government) and the DEA (Department of Environmental Affairs), providing leadership development programs for US-AID (SA) and offering leadership development courses at Henley Business School. She currently runs her own leadership development consulting company, Courage to Lead, in South Africa.

Originally from the Netherlands, and living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Philippe is fluent in Dutch, English, and French. Philippe has more than 10 years coaching experience, and is an International Coaching Federation Professional Certified Coach, an ICF executive board member, and ICF Global Ambassador, Ethics Community of Practice. Philippe is the co-founder of Reach Outstanding—a company that provides executive coaching and bespoke experiential training programs to individuals and organizations. Philipe specializes in professional executive coaching for managers and leaders, organisational change management coaching, and corporate workshops and team coaching. In February 2020, Philippe was awarded the prestigious Excellence in Finance – Leaders’ Award during the Finext conference for his contribution to the Finance Industry. Phillip also received the United Arab Emirates Prestige Award for Best Executive Coaching Provider 2020.
Originally from the United States, Shannon worked in Prague, Czechoslovakia prior to returning to the US and living in North Carolina. Shannon is fluent in English and French. Shannon is an International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach (ACC), and a Coaches Training Institute Certified Professional Co-Active Coach. Shannon is also trained in the Emotional Social Competency Index and The Leadership Circle Profile. Shannon has 20 years of experience working in public health and global development, with a focus on program management and evaluation. Shannon currently works with purpose-driven teams, emerging leaders, and senior managers who are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of communities. She helps teams align to a common vision, streamline systems, integrate learning, and improve performance. She helps purpose-driven individuals identify what they need and want to sustain their commitment to making our world a better place and to thrive in their career and personal life with balance, integrity, and authenticity.
Sheetal attended university in France and the United Kingdom, before settling in Africa. Sheetal is fluent in English, Gujarati, and Hindi. Sheetal has over 24 years personal research and experience in the field of personal change, self-mastery, leadership and creative mindfulness. Sheetal is an International Coach Federation Professional Certified Coach (PCC)—the second in Kenya. Sheetal is also the first certified teacher in Africa for the world renowned Search Inside Yourself programme. Sheetal specializes in Leadership, Team Building, Cross Cultural Communication, Train-The-Trainer, and Emotional Intelligence.
Based in the United Kingdom, Sue is an European Mentoring and Coaching Council Accredited Executive Coach at Senior Practitioner (SP) level. Sue has a certificate in Systemic Team Coaching from The Academy of Executive Coaching and is an Association for Professional Executive Coaching & Supervision Accredited Executive Coach. Sue is also trained in Gestalt psychotherapy. Sue has 10 years coaching experience. Sue has worked as Coaching Director for 4 years, at healthcare company GSK, where she worked for 30 years to lead global teams and transformational projects before moving into Human Resources-aligned roles. Prior to coaching Yolanda has accompanied organizations for more than 25 years, as a seasoned Human Resources professional. She has extensive experience in Human Resources Management & Consultancy roles across various industry sectors, in complex matrix multinational and public business environments. Her focus has always been to deliver value added Human Resources support to line management on all employee related issues, through training, advising and coaching.
